The Legislative Department under the Ministry of Law and Justice held a meeting on March 2, 2026 at Shastri Bhawan to deliberate on and adopt the Seva Sankalp Resolution, reaffirming its commitment to integrity, transparency and accountability in public service.
The meeting was chaired by the Secretary, Legislative Department and attended by officers and staff members of the Department, including personnel from its attached offices, the Official Languages Wing and Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan.
During the session, the Seva Sankalp Resolution was read out collectively by all participants, who reaffirmed their adherence to its guiding principles. A detailed discussion followed on the importance of the Resolution and the ways in which its core values could be translated into daily administrative and legislative work.
Addressing the gathering, the Secretary underscored the need to uphold integrity, transparency, dedication and accountability in the discharge of official responsibilities. He emphasised that public service must be driven by sincerity, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility towards citizens and the Constitution.
Officers and staff members expressed their collective resolve to internalise the principles of the Resolution and to strengthen their commitment to efficient, ethical and citizen centric governance. The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge to align departmental functioning with the spirit of Seva Sankalp and to work with enhanced dedication in the service of the nation.
