The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme continued its outreach across colleges in the national capital with more than 900 students participating in interactive sessions on the second day of the initiative aimed at strengthening youth engagement with the national development vision.
The programme is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through Mera Yuva Bharat as part of Phase 2 of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme. The initiative seeks to engage more than 10,000 young people across over 35 colleges in Delhi through discussions, interactive sessions and youth led activities.
On the second day of the outreach, Youth Icons Ramandeep Singh, Lavisha Arora, Sneha Bhardwaj, Ankit Kumar and Sakshi Shah interacted with students at five colleges in the capital.
The sessions were conducted at Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi, Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College and Maharishi Valmiki College of Education.
More than 900 students participated in the engagements, reflecting growing interest among young people in contributing to the national development agenda.
During the sessions, the Youth Icons shared their experiences from national youth initiatives and encouraged students to actively participate in shaping the vision of a self reliant and developed India by 2047.
The programme included presentations and Yuva Samvad interactions where students discussed themes such as nation building, leadership and youth participation in governance and development.
The initiative aims to create a platform where young citizens can share ideas and perspectives and contribute meaningfully to India’s development journey through wider public participation.
As part of the outreach, awareness and registration drives for the Mera Yuva Bharat platform were conducted at participating institutions before the events. These activities encouraged students to register on the platform and participate in volunteer driven initiatives supporting nation building.
Officials said the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme is designed to connect young citizens with India’s long term development vision and encourage them to become active contributors in shaping the country’s future.
