Foreign Missions from 18 Countries Visit PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 at Dilli Haat INA

Foreign Missions from 18 countries paid a special visit to PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi, gaining first-hand exposure to India’s rich legacy of traditional craftsmanship and the key initiatives of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

The visiting delegation comprised Ambassadors, High Commissioners and senior representatives from Algeria, Belarus, Cameroon, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Guyana, Indonesia, Iraq, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Peru, Somalia, South Africa, Timor-Leste, Uzbekistan and Venezuela. The dignitaries toured the exhibition, interacted with artisans, and appreciated the diversity, skill and cultural depth reflected in India’s traditional crafts.

PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 is being organised by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme from 18 to 31 January 2026 at Dilli Haat, INA. The exhibition is open to the public daily from 10:30 am to 10:00 pm and serves as a dedicated platform for artisans and craftspeople to showcase and market their products to national and international buyers, institutions and the general public.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Danish Ashraf, Joint Development Commissioner, Office of the Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, who outlined the objectives and significance of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. He highlighted the Government’s commitment to preserving traditional skills, empowering artisans and integrating them into modern value chains.

Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, formally welcomed and facilitated the visiting foreign dignitaries. He briefed them on the Ministry’s flagship initiatives, underscoring the role of MSMEs in employment generation, inclusive growth and grassroots entrepreneurship. He also highlighted the impact of schemes aimed at skill development, financial inclusion and market access for artisans and small enterprises, and expressed appreciation for the interest shown by the foreign missions.

The event featured vibrant cultural performances from Assam, Rajasthan, Punjab and Ladakh, creating an immersive and festive atmosphere. The performances showcased India’s diverse cultural heritage and reinforced the link between traditional art forms, community livelihoods and cultural identity.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Anuja Bapat, Deputy Director General, Office of the Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME.

PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 brings together more than 117 artisans from all States and Union Territories, making it a true pan-India representation of traditional skills and crafts. The initiative aims to promote India’s artisanal heritage, enhance global visibility for handmade products, and strengthen market linkages for artisans under the vision of sustainable and inclusive economic development.
