The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has established a comprehensive Health Pavilion at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition 2026, being held at Marwadi University in Rajkot from January 11 to 15, 2026, to highlight the Government of India’s flagship health initiatives and public health achievements.
Spread across nearly 700 square metres, the pavilion was inaugurated by senior officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare along with representatives of the state government and district health authorities. Conceptualised around the theme “Swasthya Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, the pavilion reflects the government’s commitment to building a strong, inclusive and resilient public health system.
The pavilion features 26 stalls representing 12 programme divisions of the ministry, with active participation from state and district health authorities. Visitors are being provided a wide range of healthcare services, information and awareness activities free of cost. To ensure easy access and informed engagement, details of programme-wise services have been prominently displayed at the pavilion’s entry points.
The ministry’s participation in the exhibition is aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, increasing public awareness of government health programmes and encouraging community participation. A dedicated interactive zone has been created within the pavilion to disseminate health messages through innovative and user-friendly formats, strengthening outreach and engagement.
Adding a human dimension to the initiative, local tuberculosis champions who have successfully completed treatment shared their experiences, highlighting the role of government support in their recovery journey. Peer representatives of people living with HIV also shared testimonies on how government interventions have improved access to treatment, psychosocial support and overall quality of life.
The Health Pavilion has drawn strong interest from visitors, including international delegates, and has emerged as a major attraction at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition 2026. The sustained footfall and engagement reflect growing public confidence in the government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and ensure accessible, affordable and quality health services.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the vision of “Swasthya Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” through continued innovation, close collaboration with states and stakeholders, and the implementation of people-centric health programmes across the country.
