Jayant Chaudhary Launches National Campaign to Boost Digital Skilling Through SIDH

In a significant push to strengthen India’s digital skilling ecosystem, Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State Independent Charge for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, launched a nationwide awareness campaign titled Badhna Hai Toh Yahan Judna Hai on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026.

The campaign seeks to accelerate enrolment and participation in the Skill India Digital Hub, the government’s integrated digital platform for skilling, employment and lifelong learning. As part of the outreach strategy, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has been brought on board to amplify awareness and encourage citizens across the country to connect with the platform.

The initiative comes at a time when India is positioning itself for a Viksit Bharat while navigating rapid technological changes driven by artificial intelligence, automation and digital transformation. With more than 1.5 crore registered candidates already onboarded, Skill India Digital Hub has emerged as one of the country’s largest unified digital skilling platforms.

Speaking at the launch, Jayant Chaudhary said India’s digital public infrastructure has earned global recognition through initiatives such as India Stack and now Skill India Digital Hub. He noted that these platforms have expanded access to public services and skill development at an unprecedented scale. He described Skill India Digital Hub as a model of how digital public infrastructure can enable lifelong learning and create real economic opportunities, especially in an era shaped by artificial intelligence and automation. Through the new campaign, he said, the government is inviting every Indian to connect with the ecosystem and take the next step in their growth journey.

Designed as a mobile first and AI enabled platform, Skill India Digital Hub integrates multiple government skilling initiatives into a single digital interface. It offers industry aligned and future ready courses and provides personalised recommendations based on learner interests, aptitude and career goals. The platform features a learning management system enabled central learning hub, digitally verified credentials, QR code enabled personalised digital CVs, Aadhaar based eKYC registration and OTP enabled mobile access. It is available in more than 21 Indian languages to ensure inclusivity and ease of access across regions.

The platform caters to a wide spectrum of users including school students exploring career options, graduates entering the workforce, working professionals upgrading their skills and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking structured support. By consolidating previously fragmented skilling and employment resources, the platform removes barriers related to information gaps, language limitations and verification challenges, thereby democratising access to opportunity.

The Badhna Hai Toh Yahan Judna Hai campaign will be rolled out across digital platforms, social media channels, app ecosystems and QR enabled touchpoints to facilitate seamless and instant registration. Campaign visuals emphasise India’s diversity, featuring youth, women, professionals, entrepreneurs and differently abled citizens, reinforcing the message that growth and opportunity are accessible to all.

Anchored in the vision of lifelong learning for prosperity for anyone, anytime and anywhere, Skill India Digital Hub represents a strategic pillar in India’s efforts to build a future ready workforce. The campaign underscores the government’s commitment to expanding digital access, strengthening employability and positioning India as a global skill capital in the age of emerging technologies.
