The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports shifted to its new premises at the General Pool Office Accommodation complex in Netaji Nagar, New Delhi, with Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurating the facility on March 2, 2026.
The inauguration marks the formal commencement of operations from the new office, designed to provide a modern and well structured workspace for the Ministry’s officers and staff. Addressing the gathering, Mansukh Mandaviya conveyed his best wishes to the officials and expressed confidence that the new environment would strengthen efficiency, coordination and synergy in implementing initiatives related to sports development and youth empowerment.
He said the improved infrastructure and functional design of the office would support smoother inter departmental collaboration and enhance the Ministry’s capacity to deliver on its mandate in the areas of youth engagement, grassroots sports promotion and elite sports development.
Raksha Khadse, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, also assumed charge in the new office and appreciated the structured and contemporary work setting. She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the Ministry’s objectives with renewed focus and dedication, emphasising the importance of aligning programmes with the aspirations of young people and athletes across the country.
The ceremony was attended by Hari Ranjan Rao, Secretary Sports, Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary Youth Affairs, and senior officials of the Ministry. The relocation is expected to provide a consolidated and better coordinated administrative framework to support the Ministry’s expanding portfolio of schemes and initiatives.
The move to the General Pool Office Accommodation complex reflects a step towards modernising administrative infrastructure in line with the growing scale of youth and sports programmes nationwide.
