The initiative was conceptualised under the leadership of Abhijat Sheth, President of NBEMS and Chairman of NMC, with the objective of equipping doctors with foundational as well as applied knowledge of artificial intelligence in clinical practice. The programme comprises 20 structured modules delivered over six months by reputed national and international faculty from institutions including Harvard University, IIM Lucknow and IISc Bengaluru. NBEMS has ensured that the course is offered free of cost to participants.

The large scale digital academic e learning programme was planned and executed by Rakesh Sharma, Governing Body Member of NBEMS, and AVS Suresh from Hyderabad, along with the NBEMS team in collaboration with AI experts from India and abroad. The initiative witnessed widespread participation from doctors representing both government and private institutions across the country, reflecting growing interest in the integration of AI into healthcare delivery.

He also acknowledged the support of J P Nadda, officers of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, faculty members, academic partners and participating doctors for their collective contribution to the record.
