On the occasion of Republic Day 2026, the President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu has approved the conferment of the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and the Medal for Meritorious Service to officers and personnel of the Railway Protection Force and Railway Protection Special Force, recognising their exemplary professionalism, dedication and outstanding contribution to railway security.
The awards honour personnel who have displayed exceptional commitment to duty, operational excellence and sustained service in safeguarding passengers, railway property and critical infrastructure across the Indian Railways network.
