Ministry of MSME will Launch a New Generation of Digital Platforms to Strengthen India’s MSME Ecosystem

The Vice President of India, CP Radhakrishnan, will preside over the ‘MSME Day 2026-Udyami Bharat’ event on 27th June 2026 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. The event will also be graced by Jitan Ram Manjhi, Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Shri Manoj Goel, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC); and senior officials from the Ministry and its organisations.

Celebrated annually on 27 June, MSME Day provides an opportunity to recognise the pivotal role played by MSME in driving economic growth, innovation, employment generation, exports and inclusive development across the country. This year’s event will underscore the Government’s commitment to building a more resilient, technology-driven, competitive and future-ready MSME ecosystem.

The status of National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has upgraded from Schedule ‘B’ to Schedule ‘A’ category Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) earlier this year-a significant recognition of NSIC’s growing stature and contribution to the MSME sector. Ponduru Khadi, a traditional hand-spun and handwoven textile from Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, has been accorded the prestigious Geographical Indication (GI) tag, a significant achievement facilitated by the KVIC.

PORTAL LAUNCHES
On the occasion, the Vice President will launch a suite of transformative digital platforms, portals, and e-books aimed at empowering MSMEs across India.

1. PMEGP 2.0 Portal
The newly developed portal introduces a range of citizen-centric, technology-driven features designed to simplify the entire lifecycle of a beneficiary with improved coordination among all stakeholders. A key highlight is its integration with the Jan Samarth Portal, enabling real-time exchange of information with participating banks for loan processing, sanction, and disbursement. The PMEGP 2.0 Portal represents a transformative shift towards a fully digital, transparent, and accountable ecosystem for enterprise promotion.

2. SAMADHAAN 2.0 Portal
The dedicated platform is designed to report and track outstanding dues owed to MSMEs by Central Ministries, Departments, Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) and other Government Agencies. It provides a dedicated online functionality for mandatory reporting of pending MSME dues on a monthly basis within prescribed timelines.

3. PMS Portal
The Procurement and Marketing Support (PMS) Portal is an integrated digital platform that connects Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with trade fairs and exhibitions. Linked with Udyam Registration, the portal makes the entire process-including application submission, participation, and reimbursement claims-online, paperless, and transparent. With seamless integration, enhanced transparency, and end-to-end digital processing, the PMS Portal is empowering MSMEs through technology, efficiency, ease of access and improved market outreach.

4. MSME Global Mart 2.0 Portal
MSME Global Mart 2.0 is a next-generation national digital commerce and trade facilitation platform integrated with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) ecosystem. The platform enables MSMEs from every corner of the country to connect with new business opportunities both nationally and globally.

5. MSME Testing Portal
The MSME Testing Portal is an initiative for the end-to-end digitisation of testing activities carried out by MSME Testing Centres and Testing Stations across the country. The portal allows customers to book samples for testing, make payments, track the status of their applications, and download test reports digitally. It is expected to significantly improve the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of testing services available to MSMEs nationwide.

6. MSME Idea Hackathon 6.0
Under the MSME Champions Scheme, Hackathon 6.0 aims to promote innovation and the adoption of advanced technologies among MSMEs. Innovators will be invited to submit their ideas across multiple themes through registered Host Institutes (HIs), with financial support of up to Rs. 15 lakh per idea. The Hackathon facilitates incubation of novel ideas and provides mentorship and growth support aligned with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.

LAUNCH OF E-BOOKS
To commemorate three years of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, a Coffee Table Book showcasing the scheme’s transformative impact through inspiring success stories of artisans will be launched. A Book on the Self-Reliant India (SRI) Fund will also be released, highlighting its contribution to enterprise growth, employment generation, innovation, and women entrepreneurship under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.

MULTILINGUAL ACCESS ON MSME PORTALS
Driven by the vision of inclusive governance and Udyam Sashaktikaran, the Ministry now offers a multilingual and voice-enabled ecosystem across MSME websites/portals in collaboration with BHASHINI and NIC. The initiative will provide access to MSME services in 22 Scheduled Indian languages, along with AI-enabled voice grievance redressal and document translation facilities, enhancing accessibility and digital inclusion.

NEW PRODUCTS BY KVIC
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) will launch a range of innovative and eco-friendly products aimed at strengthening and promoting sustainable livelihoods. The products to be launched include Tukun (Infant Wear), Rangtaal (Table Runners and Mats), Bela (Infant Wrap Sheets), Vanya (Eri Stoles) and Umang (Wool Stoles).

PANEL DISCUSSIONS
The MSME Day celebrations will conclude with two technical panel discussions: “Ushering a New Era of Women Entrepreneurship” and “The Role of Growth Capital in Building Scalable MSME.” These sessions will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, women entrepreneurs, financial institutions, academia, and other key stakeholders from the MSME ecosystem to deliberate on strategies for fostering entrepreneurship, strengthening MSME competitiveness and driving inclusive economic growth.
