MIB Pavilion Showcases AI Led Media Innovation At India AI Impact Summit 2026

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Pavilion emerged as a focal point of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, hosting a comprehensive series of panels, masterclasses and live technology demonstrations that highlighted the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on media, entertainment and the wider creative economy.

The Pavilion brought together policymakers, technologists, filmmakers, gaming innovators and content creators to examine AI driven production workflows, multilingual voice technologies, immersive gaming innovation, digital monetisation strategies and responsible AI frameworks. The sessions were designed to promote knowledge exchange, policy dialogue and industry collaboration while reinforcing India’s position in AI enabled creative services.

Among the highlights was an interactive AI micro drama storytelling showcase and the presentation of Kathāvatār, a curated series of AI generated short films developed in partnership with Adobe. Acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur conducted a masterclass on AI powered storytelling, reflecting on the evolving language of cinema and the importance of preserving cultural authenticity in an age of algorithm driven creation.

Technology demonstrations and discussions featured innovations from LTM BlueVerse, AWS, Google with Evergent, Sony Research India, PurpleTalk, Dashverse, Pocket FM, Kuku FM and Lumikai. These sessions examined how AI is reshaping content production, distribution and audience engagement across platforms.

At the India AI Impact Expo 2026, 51 startups from India’s AVGC XR and Media Tech ecosystem presented AI powered innovations at the WAVES Creators Corner. The platform showcased immersive storytelling tools, gaming engines, virtual production environments and next generation content technologies.

Key demonstrations included a Zero Touch Autonomous Newsroom concept, the Bhasha Wall enabling multilingual dubbing and AI sign language avatars, and interactive installations such as Samvad Setu and The Director’s Chair. Visitors experienced an AI podcast studio, conversational humanoid robots and advanced voice cloning technologies. Winners of the Bhashasetu and Kalaasetu challenges presented AI driven solutions aimed at preserving cultural heritage and enhancing linguistic accessibility, illustrating the convergence of technology and cultural inclusion.

Adobe, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, played a central role in showcasing AI enabled creative workflows. At the WAVES Creators Corner, Adobe presented Kathāvatār, a selection of five Made in India AI short films inspired by Indian folklore. The films Language of Birds, Migoi, Uttarayan, The Barber’s Secret and Yappasauras were screened throughout the Summit at the AI Theatre, demonstrating how emerging filmmakers are integrating artificial intelligence into cinematic craft and storytelling.

Adobe also hosted a thematic session titled The Future of Film AI Creativity and Craft, exploring emerging AI filmmaking practices and the evolution of creative workflows. The Content Creation Hub powered by Adobe provided live demonstrations of AI led video production tools designed to accelerate content creation, enhance creative control and enable scalable storytelling for digital platforms.

The AI Immersive Theatre in New Delhi served as a centrepiece of the Pavilion, introducing a 270 degree projection environment combined with spatial design and AI powered narrative systems. The immersive space was conceived to redefine audience engagement by surrounding viewers within interactive cinematic experiences. The showcase, led by the National Film Development Corporation and Waves Bazaar under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, featured curated AI films, CinemAI Hackathon finalists from the International Film Festival of India and Kathāvatār screenings at Bharat Mandapam.

Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in partnership with industry leaders including Adobe, underscored India’s growing leadership in AI driven media innovation. The Pavilion demonstrated how technology, policy and creative talent are converging to build a responsible and globally competitive AI enabled creative ecosystem.
