The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology organised its Job Fair 2026 titled Yuva Rojgar Mela at its Delhi centre in Pankha Road, Janakpuri, creating placement opportunities for students and alumni across multiple sectors.
The job fair witnessed participation from 15 companies that shortlisted candidates against more than 1000 job openings. Over 750 candidates registered for the event, reflecting strong interest from young job seekers trained in information, electronics and communication technology and emerging digital domains.
The event was inaugurated by Thalluru Sudhir, Sub Regional Employment Officer from the Directorate General of Employment, who attended as Chief Guest. He was welcomed by Sheetal Chopra, Director In Charge, NIELIT Delhi. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by his address to participants and recruiters.
In his remarks, Thalluru Sudhir appreciated the sustained efforts of NIELIT Delhi in organising the job fair and acknowledged the participating companies for contributing to employment generation and skill based recruitment. He emphasised the importance of bridging the skill divide and aligning trained youth with industry requirements.
Placement desks were set up by participating companies including Siddhi Infonet India Pvt Ltd, PAYTM, Just Dial, Bajaj Capital, Hello Money India Pvt Ltd, HDB Financial Services, My Money Mantra, V5 Global, Axis Bank, Vision Plus Security Control Ltd, Hiringplay Private Limited, Eureka Forbes Ltd, Sonbarsa Financial Services and Consultant Pvt Ltd, 3I Infotech and Axis Max Life Insurance. Recruiters conducted screening and shortlisting of candidates for diverse roles across finance, digital services, security solutions, customer engagement and technology enabled services.
NIELIT, an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, has established itself as a premier institution in the field of Information, Electronics and Communication Technology and emerging technologies. Its pan India network comprises more than 55 own and extension centres, numerous upcoming centres and over 8500 training partners. NIELIT Ropar in Punjab has been granted the status of Deemed to be University under the Distinct category, with 11 constituent units located in Aizawl, Agartala, Aurangabad, Calicut, Gorakhpur, Imphal, Itanagar, Kekri, Kohima, Patna and Srinagar.
The Yuva Rojgar Mela forms part of NIELIT’s broader commitment to holistic student support, encompassing capacity building, skill development and structured placement assistance. The institute stated that it will continue to organise similar job fairs in the coming years to strengthen industry linkage and expand employment avenues for trained youth.
